This issue is cause when the Step cannot establish an authenticated session when attempting to deply to iTunesConnect. The error looks something like this:
Error Domain=ITunesSoftwareServiceErrorDomain Code=-22014 \"We are unable to create an authentication session.\" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=We are unable to create an authentication session., NSLocalizedFailureReason=Unable to validate your application.}
Verify that your Apple ID and password are correct in the Step input. Regenerate the app specific password and specify the new value.
