Charging for a Bitrise client mobile app for distribution
Charging for a Bitrise client mobile app for distribution
Updated over a week ago

Issue:

I want to create a Bitrise client that uses the Bitrise API. Can I deploy this kind of app to the iOS/Android stores and can I charge for it?

Possible solutions:

You may create an app that uses the Bitrise API but please make sure that it is not presented as an official Bitrise app.

Selling an app that has the same functionality as Bitrise is not allowed. However, if your app is building on top of our functionality and API to provide something different or new, it should be okay to charge for it.

There are already non-official mobile clients for Bitrise both in the iOS and Android stores. We ask you not to use our logo and do not mislead customers about it being a non-official client. In the app description, you should always highlight that your app is not an official Bitrise app.
